I will be surprised if after spending 420 M, NASA want to just find "organics" on Mars, and not "plant" them. All it take is a perfect bacteria for that kinda weather condition, that spreads in ice, or some other "stuff" that can be planted in water, with a solar panel installed on top of it.

Well, I have this tendency to think the next step. Hey NASA, if you take this idea, give me some credit.
