The witness seemed extremely disturbed by the experience and during our initial encounter, declared having never displayed an interest in the UFO phenomenon. He told us, however, that the event had changed his life, making it hard for him to sleep, and bringing about visions of "other worlds".
While we only spoke to the witness twice (the first for a few hours) our impression is that he is a well-adjusted person, uninterested in publicizing his case then or now. Quite the contrary, the case caused him more trouble than anything else: he never had health complaints of any kind, nor was he under the effects of any medication at the time, which is irrelevant in any event. Even if we were to ascribe the case to a hallucination on the part of the witness, it would not have been captured on modern photographic equipment.
We agreed to submit the witness to a series of questions, which he accepted. He was rather brief in his replies, unlike our earlier meeting. We have transcribed the brief interview performed on Ivan D. in 2012 in order to posit our conclusions later on.

"Your occupation or profession?"
- Employee
"Have you had other similar experiences before this?"
- Never
"What type of camera did you use?"
- Olympus x 15 (photo was taken with 5 megapixels)
"Do you remember the approximate time?"
- Around 14:00 hours (2 p.m.)
"What were you trying to photograph at the time?"
- My younger son, who was resting between the two trees.
"Was this the only photo taken? If there were others, does the entity appear in them as well?"

"Any idea of how many people were at the site?"
- Approximately 8 people (referring to his family group)
"Aside from FAO, did any other organization examine the photo?"
- No, no one else.
"Were you ever interested in the UFO phenomenon?"

"Has any member of your family had similar experience?"
- No, none.
"Could it be possible that there was a person standing at the edge of the lagoon and nobody noticed?"
- I don't remember anyone standing at the site.
"Through photo analysis, was it possible to determine the entity's height?"
- 1.80 meters or taller, approximately.
"Did you notice anything unusual in the environment when the photo was taken?"
- The lagoon's water (witness states the water was somewhat "unsettled" at that section of the edge)
"Did you notice any physical or emotional changes after this experience?"
- Yes (during this second interview, the witness is reluctant to discuss this item and does not provide details about his insomnia)
"How has your family taken the experience?"
- I've tried not to involve them.
CONCLUSIONS:
1. According to the FAO analysis, the photo is genuine, which does not necessarily mean that the image of the entity belongs to a non-human being.
2. Due to distance, it is not possible to determine if the being was at the edge of the lagoon or standing over its waters.
3. It is possible that he image is that of a fisherman at the edge of the lagoon, distorted by the light. On the other hand, the photo was taken well past noon (around 14:00 hours), and it is therefore not possible to state this with certainty.
4. It is remarkable that no one else noticed the entity's presence in such a busy location.
5. The entity's height is truly remarkable. To establish it with greater precision, it would be necessary to determine its distance from the trees in the foreground.
6. The entity's head seems larger than an average human's, making it similar to the so-called "grey" or macrocephalic extraterrestrials.
7. The Laguna del Monte has been the scenario of UFO sightings on other opportunities, researched by our colleagues at FAO at the time, one of them at the end of 2010.
8. It's possible that as with other cases, an interdimensional rather than a physical being is involved - invisible to the human eye and captured only the camera.
9. Over decades of research, it is well-known that a photograph is not conclusive proof, as in many cases (around 90%) they reflect misinterpreted natural phenomena.
10. The good faith and honesty of the witness are beyond dispute. At no moment did he seek publicity or financial gain as a result of the experience.

Another example of the value of social media to UAP research is the use of Facebook posts and subsequent threads.
Recently, a post appeared on the Facebook "Westall Flying Saucer Incident" page (click here.) In the post, an individual provided what appeared to be two newspaper clippings hand dated 2001. These told the story of an alleged incident at Fountain Gate in Melbourne.
Members of the Facebook page went about investigating the alleged event. Between them, they:
* Set about trying to find original copies of the named newspapers via online newspaper databases, and contacting libraries.
* Pointed out that the newspaper clippings did not conform to the standard format of a newspaper story, in that there was no associated journalists name, and they contained numbers which suggested they were in fact, not a news story, but an advertisement.
* A Melbourne member visited the hotel and spoke to a management representative about the story.
* Another pointed out that a similar story from Sydney in the early 1970's had involved a UFO, and that they vaguely recalled the Fountain Gate story as a promotional display.
All in all, the investigation cast strong doubt on the authenticity of the newspaper accounts. The latest, is that the original poster has now withdrawn the original post and subsequent threads.
This is an excellent example of the power of social media in the pursuit of UAP research.

"Because this is the third most important issue facing humankind after global warming and changing the monetary system," Paul Hellyer says.
It is the eve of what is being billed as "the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure of an Extraterrestrial Presence Engaging the Human Race."
Hellyer, the former Liberal, Tory and independent MP who first sat in Parliament in 1949, will be arguing -- hardly for the first time -- that, as he tells me by phone from his home in Toronto, not only has ET been here, "there are more than one species, in fact there are several species.
"There has been collaboration between one or more of them with the U.S. government and the U.S. defence department. They've been sharing technology, some of which they wouldn't want the public to know about. Not only anti-gravity machines, but also diabolical weapons -- so many things that will affect the future of humankind."
Why didn't you ask them about this when you were minister of national defence? I ask.
"I'd never heard about this at that time," he answers.
Alien intelligence, Hellyer says, "is like a scroll that opens up in both directions; it has no end, it goes on and on. There are people from other dimensions, too, and a lot of them have visited Earth and they still do. Some of them look very much like us. The species we call the Tall Whites have been seen shopping in Las Vegas."
Hellyer is not alone in his certainty that we are not alone. Last month, a polling firm in North Carolina sampled 1,000 Americans and discovered 21 per cent agree a UFO crash at Roswell, N.M., in 1947 was covered up by the U. S. government, and 29 per cent concur with the proposition that "aliens exist."
(When asked, "Do you believe that shape-shifting reptilian people control our world by taking on human form and gaining political power to manipulate our societies, or not?" only 88 per cent said they do not.)

Gravel, who is 83 and the son of emigrant Quebecers -- "I have more relatives in Canada than in the United States, but they're dying"-- promises his role in the hearing will be that of an impartial auditor.
"From my point of view," he reasons from his home in California, "the number of UFO sightings would indicate that, even if the numbers are exaggerated, they should be examined and reported to the public. France, Canada and a few of the others have revealed all the information that they have -- the exception to this rule is the U.S. government. This canard that the American public would panic if there was anything proven is ridiculous. The people are mature, they understand that there are many facets of life that are unexplainable.

"Nothing," he replies. "Nothing. People would be satisfied that there are unexplained events, but that's not unusual. The whole belief in God is empirically unproven, yet we accept that."

In 1978, prime minister Eric Gairy of Grenada beseeched the UN General Assembly, "Why should man be precluded from information on UFOs, a matter of great interest and importance to man?" While Gairy was meeting with secretary general Kurt Waldheim in New York, he was overthrown by a leftist coup at home.
Hellyer does not believe that proof of extraterrestrial visitation would provoke, as Gravel says, "nothing."
"The ramifications are just enormous," Hellyer affirms. "The question is, what's the end game as far as the people are concerned who have the knowledge and are doing the engineering and building the machines that the aliens showed them that will blow your mind away? If the United States is doing these things, then Russia and China know about it and are doing the same thing. These are big issues, especially when people are starving."

"Some of the species live 900 years," Hellyer replies. "If you read about Methuselah in the Bible, there might have been some around then. Personally, I have no desire to live 900 years. I have no desire to even live one hundred."

But the fascination that we have toward Roswell isn't that we worship UFO phenomena or that we ever hope to see such a thing while we're there. Our sense of wonder about the place is that so many others consider it to be almost holy ground for the UFO community. Around the Fourth of July the town explodes into a frenzy of everything extraterrestrial. On every street you can find something that related to aliens or some sort of occult theme. But amongst all of the satanic revelry there are a group of Bible believing Born Again Christians who hold on to what God has given them; a mission to preach to those who are UFO thrill seekers.
We woke on Friday [July 1, 2005] in great expectation that we would be heading out to the crash site at an early cool hour so that we could beat the heat. As I sat in the restaurant eating my free breakfast I wondered what the trip would show us. I wondered if we would pick up any artifacts that the military might have missed back in 1947 when they supposedly recovered wreckage from the site we would soon tread upon. I also thought about the possibility of running across rattlesnakes or maybe scorpions during our trek. Joe [Jordan] echoed this concern several times, warning us to be very careful about rattlers.
I hooked up with Joe Jordan who told me that David Flynn and his team were preparing to go and I got real excited. Joe told me that the site we were going to visit was not the site that most people visit when they come to Roswell. He told me that there are actually four sites but I can't recount whether the one we would soon visit was included in that number or not. So, Joe and I hopped in the Explorer and started to follow Dave and his crew. We drove for a few miles until we found a dirt road to turn onto, following Dave [Flynn] and his GPS crew. The road was quite dusty and I'm sure that the air filter of the rented SUV was getting pretty dirty.

We drove for quite a distance in the desert. Man, it was so beautiful out there. To quote Buzz Aldren from Apollo 11 when he described the moonscape, "magnificent desolation." We came to a fork in the road and Dave thought that we should stop and get our bearings. The picture below is of Dave checking the GPS unit along with Joe Jordan from CE-4 Research Group.

After a lot of driving on a lot of bumpy and rocky roads we finally got as close to the crash site as we could get by driving. We would have to hike in the rest of the way. I have to say that our hike was a rigorous one. It probably would have been easier had we done it in early spring or late fall when temperatures are much lower, but we were there in July and nothing was going to stop us from finding our goal.

We looked around for any identifying landmarks. Believe me, there were very few. In the desert we were in everything looked the same and it would have been easy for someone to get lost if they weren't adept at directions. There was one identifying mark though; a place called Lewis Well which can be seen in the background of the following picture.

After a cursory sweep of the area we decided to get to the Spiritual matters that we came to perform. We took very few pictures of this event because we all participated in the matter at hand. After Joe set up the video camera we all stood side by side, all in one accord. I started with a prayer that the Lord had given me the night before. We thought it very important that we claim the land for Yeshua and His Kingdom. Here is a text copy of the prayer:
Bless this land Lord. Turn it again unto thyself. Turn around all evil perpetuated by this place and events that happened here, and bring about good. Sanctify this land so that only Your Name will be magnified by its remembrance.
For many years this place has been associated as 1947. We proclaim it to be a symbol of 1948, which is when your prophetic time clock started again ticking. We proclaim it as a sign of the coming of the Son of Man.
We pray for a renewal for Roswell and all the surrounding area. We pray for changed hearts and renewed minds. In the Name of Yeshua we claim Roswell for you. We place your banner over her residents. We claim her elected officials for you. We claim that her attraction toward Babylon will become an abhorrence of evil. We claim her occult businesses for you, that they may turn and become outlets of Holiness.
We stand here on this land in recognition that when two or more are gathered in your name, you are with us. We also recall your promise, that whenever we ask our Father anything in Your Name, we can rest assured that that purpose will become a realityAMEN
After the prayer Joe Jordan read from the book of Psalms; the twenty third psalm to be exact. We thought that this psalm would be a fitting one to read over a place who's legacy has brought about so much spiritual strife. Joe then read the communion account in the Gospel of Luke and we shared communion; citing the blessings in both Hebrew and English. After that, Joe recited a benediction in Hebrew and he blew the Shofar to seal what we had done. Before he blew the Shofar though I felt that I should recount for those watching the video, the story of Joshua and the Israelites marching around the city of Jericho. It was a powerful time. After Joe finished blowing the Shofar, David Flynn came over to me and showed me that the sound of the horn caused the hairs on his arms to stand on end. We had definitely made an impact in the Spiritual realm. Joe even sprinkled anointing oil on the ground to consecrate it for Yeshua.

After the ceremonies everyone walked around and looked for artifacts of a crash and for any geologic anomalies that might have been made from a crash. Aside from what looked like a long scrape in the ground we came to the conclusion that after the crash the Army probably did a thorough check for materials. We also surmised that more than fifty years of wind and water erosion had probably removed any other evidence that might have occurred on the earth. More here.

Retired Policeman Reports Triangle Ufo And Alien Sighting
At 3:15 AM, the witness' German Shepherd came to rouse him from sleep. The reliable watchdog was incessantly barking at something in the backyard.

As he looked around the yard and then into the sky, he saw the source of the lights, a dull, black triangle UFO.
The lights were now out, but he could still estimate the size of the UFO as the width of his backyard - about 50 feet.
He was now looking at the most amazing thing - a silent, triangular-shaped UFO just sitting still in the sky above his back yard.
Sudden Sound from the Back Fence
Suddenly, he heard a sound coming the back fence.
He remembered his flashlight in a drawer in the kitchen, and quickly went to fetch it. As he did, he heard a sound coming from the hallway behind him - kind of a "clicking" sound.
He aimed his flashlight in the direction of the sound, but saw nothing. He then proceeded back to the yard, and focused his flashlight toward the direction of the original sound.
He was totally in shock of the sight before him - a very strange, short (approximately 4' tall), gray, humanoid-looking creature with big eyes standing there looking at him.
This unbelievable sight lasted only a second or two, then it just disappeared. He looked up into the sky - the triangle craft was also gone.
The policeman was baffled by what he had seen. It had frozen him in fear, and he also was puzzled by his dog. The Shepherd would not go outside, when normally he would at the drop of a hat.
Although he had received training from the FBI, in addition to his other training, nothing could have prepared him for what occurred on this particular night.
Now, What to Do?
His natural inclination was to call 911, but after picking up the phone, he changed his mind. Knowing everyone at the local station, he would be ridiculed, they would think he had lost his mind.
Until his anonymous report to MUFON, he had kept many things to himself. He never woke his sleeping wife, and never told her what he had seen that night.
He thought the entire ordeal had lasted about 15 minutes, but in fact, he was gone from his bed for about an hour and 30 minutes. His face was also red, like sunburn.
