El hangar ajeno a la tierra.

Al anochecer del 5 de Noviembre de 1975, un le~nador de 22 a~nos llamado Travis Walton y seis de sus compa~neros regresaban a casa en cami'on despu'es de una larga jornada laboral en Heber, Arizona. De repente, y tal como lo contaron despu'es los siete hombres, vieron un disco brillante de unos seis metros suspendido en el cielo sobre un claro del bosque. Walton se desvaneci'o de nuevo y volvi'o en s'i en una carretera a unos 28 km de donde se hab'ia producido el secuestro. Un viaje hacia un absurdo rechazo

Carl Higdon, entrenador deportivo de cuarenta a~nos, se encontraba en Medicine Bow Timber, Wyoming, la tarde del 25 de Octubre de 1974, dispuesto a disfrutar de una jornada de caza. Segu'ia el rastro de un alce macho y cuatro hembras. El macho se puso a tiro, y dispar'o. pero seg'un cont'o Higdon mas tarde, la bala specific recorri'o dos metros y cay'o al suelo sorprendentemente. Contaba el testigo que estaba en una nave con forma c'ubica. Mientras que despegaba, el testigo cuenta c'omo pudo ver con sus propios ojos como la tierra aparec'ia por las ventanillas. Y se alejaban de ella a gran velocidad. Entonces, casi de inmediato, se posaron en una superficie oscura. Salieron del OVNI. Higdon describ'ia la escena como un mundo oscuro en donde una inmensa torre centelleaba con una luz brillante e hiriente. El aire era gris y brumoso. Cerca de all'i cinco seres humanos hablaban, ajenos a la llegada de Higdon.

Seg'un Higdon, tuvo poco tiempo para observar la escena porque enseguida fue introducido en una habitaci'on de reconocimiento en el home-based de la torre. All'i le esperaba el ser que secuestr'o al testigo, que le pidi'o que se tumbase sobre una superficie airplane. Acto seguido le pas'o una gran plancha met'alica sobre su cuerpo y le expres'o a nivel telep'atico que "no serv'ia para lo que ellos necesitaban". Posteriormente Higdon expuso que es posible que el motivo del rechazo fue m'edico ya que se hab'ia hecho la vasectom'ia. nmediatamente despu'es de regresar al cub'iculo espacial, Higdon se encontr'o de nuevo en el bosque, dos horas despu'es de haber disparado la escopeta.

La navie sali'o a la superficie a trav'es de un t'unel de hielo, una parte del cual estaba delimitadao por innunmerables bloques cristalinos. Dentro de los cristales hab'ia figuras humanas inm'oviles, incrustadas como mosquitos en ambar y vestidas con trajes de 'epocas pasadas. Andreasson record'o que despu'es fue alejada de esa desconcertante exposici'on y llevada a una zona oscura que conten'ia una nave de metal, de la cual sali'o en un lugar parecido a un bosque de cristal. Despu'es de devolver a Andreasson a la tierra, los alien'igenas le advirtieron que olvidara sus viajes. Sin embargo, a'un le esperaba otra experiencia alucinante.

All'i, seg'un Andreasson unas criaturas con un perturbador aspecto, parecidas a lemures trepaban por unos edificios cuadrados que se alzaban a ambos lados de la vagoneta. Los seres ten'ian unos grandes ojos unidos a unos ap'endices que sobresal'ian de sus cuellos sin cabeza. Las criaturas aterrorizaron a Andreasson con sus miradas pero la dejaron pasar sin molestarla. Despu'es, la mujer y los seres con capucha cruzaron una barrera circular que daba acceso a un gran espacio subterr'aneo ba~nado con una luz verdosa que revelaba mares brumosos, vegetaci'on exuberante y una preciosa ciudad a lo lejos. El prodigioso recorrido que Andreasson record'o despu'es estaba a punto de terminar. Unas cuatro horas despu'es de haber dejado su casa, volvi'o a encontrarse en ella y la mujer y su familia, a'un aturdida se acostaron. Andreasson tuvo specific unos recuerdos vagos de toda su experiencia hasta que se someti'o a unas sesiones de hipnosis diez a~nos mas tarde.

UFO Believer Says U.S. Is Hiding Truth In Nevada Desert

It is twilight and Sean David Morton is driving 90 m.p.h. across the Nevada desert.

He is headed for a dimension where unearthly flashes appear in the sky, and the lone local bar serves alien-burgers. He is hurtling toward a sector where he says extra terrestrials prowl the Earth, mutilating cows, con- spiring with the U.S. military and watching late-night television.
He is entering the terrifying Area 51.

The government says Area 51 is a testing site for secret airplanes near Nellis Air Force Base. But Morton insists that it's a U.S.-alien cooperative where flying saucers are tested and grotesque genetic experiments take place.

"NASA is a fake. The real stuff is out here," he says.

In the back of his rented van sit seven wide-eyed passengers. Each has paid $99 to see the flying saucers that Morton says spin through the desert at night.

The fee also entitles them to an earful of the self-proclaimed prophet's arcane tidbits about space travel and government cover-ups. He spews them forth with a lunar gleam in his eye.

Casually, he explains that Area 51's aliens are probably from Krondac, a planet 800 light-years away.

"They're actually bluish-gray and a little bigger than most people think.
They're 3 to 4 feet tall."

Morton acknowledges he's never seen any aliens, but so-called sources tell him they're living at Area 51--those little creatures with the smooth heads and the wrap-around eyes.

His fellow travelers include three students of the paranormal from Mexico City, one guy with a video camera who sells material to the Fox Network series "Sightings," an inscrutable Brazilian, and a hairdresser from West Hollywood, Calif.

Morton, 34, makes his living as a psychic, a healer, a predictor of earth- quakes and a screenwriter. He just finished a book of prophecy for the next
30 years. He also worked on TV shows about Area 51 for the NBC series
"Unsolved Mysteries" and for Geraldo Rivera's "Now It Can Be Told."

"Hidden here is the technology to end all wars, to end hunger, to provide an endless supply of energy," he said. "I'm outraged that they're not showing it to the rest of the world."

Some 100 miles later, the UFO van pulls in for supplies at Ash Springs, Nev., population 11. Store owner Goodie Goodman immediately recognizes Morton. He bags groceries and muses.

"I am not a believer because I have not seen anything, but I know
people who have," he says. "You have to understand where we are in
relation to Area 51."

More and more desert. More and more darkness. One of the students nods off.
Suddenly, Morton swings the van off the road, kills the headlights and leaps onto the road, screaming, "Look, look, look! Over there, over there!
What the hell's that? Oh! It's gone!"

The fellow travelers run out after him. There are lights all over the sky.
Some look like helicopters, some like flares, some like Fibs. Two huge planes, possibly B1s, swoop close overhead in the dark, barely making a sound. And something else seems to hopscotch across the sky, leaving an orange flash at each stop.

"You just saw tiny space jumps," Morton declares.

But skeptics say Morton's the one doing the jumping--right off the deep end.

"For nearly 25 years, my specialty has been the field of UFOs, as a hobby," said Philip Klass, a senior editor at Aviation Week & Space Tech- nology for 34 years and a specialist in aviation electronics. "In all that time, I've yet to find a UFO case to suggest we have any alien spacecraft in our skies."

Area 51 is used for testing new covert airplanes, Klass said, and for staging war games and testing electronic jamming equipment.

Barry Karr, executive director of Skeptical Inquirer magazine, said con artists are promoting Area 51 to make easy money giving tours and lectures.

"There are about four or five guys running around the country, and they all have a different shtick about Area 51," Karr said.

Klass suggested that pranksters might be enhancing the military's aerial show with their own bogus UFOs and that local businesses might be perpe- tuating the myth to bring tourists to an otherwise uninviting corner of the desert.

As midnight neared, the van pulled up at the only bar for 85 miles--the Little A'le'inn, a converted trailer. The signs outside say "Earthlings Welcome" and "Budweiser."

Proprietor Joe Travis sells Alien Burgers and cocktails called Photon Torpedo, Solar Flare and the popular Beam Me Up, Scotty (Jim Beam, 7-Up and a dash of scotch).

"It's not just kooks and idiots that come out here. These people are genuinely interested," said Travis, standing behind the bar. "We had a man in here last night from another planet. He didn't tell me, but I knew."

Moon Aliens

A few years ago I bought a discarded copy of a book called "Secrets of our Spaceship Moon" by Don Wilson. This was first published in the USA in 1979, but the copy I bought was the British Reservation report from 1980. Heart it I found a version clipping from the "Sunday Return" (a downmarket dissertation in the opposite direction in the UK) obsolete 9 September 1979. Headed "Moon Aliens: Swarm of two UFOs in void as Apollo finished tragic landing", it cites numerous not clear-cut pieces of evidence symptomatic of that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin encountered extraterrestrials what they were on the stop of the Moon in 1969 (see translate less than -- click on the image for a overweight tally)."The expected Apollo 11 encounter is discussed in Secrets of our Spaceship Moon" (it's even mentioned in the taunt discourse on the first inferior), but it's somewhat tame compared by means of quite a lot of of the book's other "revelations". One of the later Apollo missions found a uncultivated casement know how to on the Moon, what recent fashioned metal shavings what drilling all the rage its shed. Old-fashioned reconnaissance photographs exposed prodigious monuments, pyramids and other structures on the stop. As far back as the 1920s, coded radio signals were acknowledged from an alien satellite in lunar group. NASA knows this, but insists on concealing the truth for nefarious reasons of its own.You clout mull over that all this comes from the author's dream, but especially all the claims in the book are austerely referenced to third-party sources. It's just that the sources aren't especially normal. The information about the metal shavings, for prototype, comes from an unknown "high conservatory scholar". Now good me an old wet blanket, but I don't track that categorically answer. And one of the sources for the Apollo 11 UFO sightings is Otto Vow, described by Don Wilson as a "bygone NASA scholastic and versifier". I'm not sure about the "bygone NASA scholastic" flank, but Otto Vow undeniably was a fruitful versifier. Highest of his output was science creation, in black and white under the a.k.a. of Eando Vow (alternatively ordinary by means of his brother Earl: "E and O Vow")."In 1969, Vow wrote a modern called Projection of the Bone china" (left) and its sequel "Brunette of the Bone china". These are captivating because they're among the very few full-grown science creation novels which buy willingly and uncritically all the rage the UFO touchstone. The two books are full amount of references to "real" ufological cases and similar anomalies -- as well as lunar ones. At one symbol in "Brunette of the Bone china", the star (a mocking novelist turned supporter) says to his alien wife (a feeler of the Galactic Vigilantes) "By the way, Solar Orbiter Two, in 1966, photographed capably produced domes on the Moon, and besides odd spires. The domes had motivated, while also photographed. Anything of yours?" -- to which she answers "Yes, they are our open Moon bases, depart antennas, by means of which we pickle a long-range guard on Terra firma".
