But let us ignore realty and assume that no major UFO sighting accord in recent years, does that take away anything out of the level of seriousness that older UFO cases should be addressed today? Is the Roswell Incident any less relevant than it was 20 years ago? I think not, The same essential questions still hover over it and other cases, and the demands for government disclosure to the general public by Ufologists are still of the same importance to our way of life, and our civil rights that they were in the past.

We shouldn't never give up, we are giving this UFO question, and humanity at large, a good service by helping the phenomena find its place as a mainstream issue, and by that allowing serious questions about government secrecy, public deception and our place in the universe to rise above the surface.

By Tom DongoIn this business I meet a lot of people from all over the world who have had UFO experiences. People sometimes go to considerable lengths to look me up -- and I'm glad they do. Even though some of what I hear I have heard many times before in different variations, occasionally someone comes along with information that really gets my full attention and response.I recently met three people from Florida, two women and a man, who by the most unusual succession of "coincidences" went for an eight-mile roundtrip walk with myself and a friend into Secret Canyon. The hike itself was very nice, but I found myself frequently wondering what the whole purpose of this meeting was, because it was becoming clearer as the day wore on that some higher power had somehow arranged the whole thing. It's too long and detailed a story to go into here, but I have seen and experienced these orchestrated coming togethers many times before.At times it is very eerie, almost uncomfortably so. The two women, from their visions, knew exactly what my friend Alan and I looked like before they met us. Not only that, they even knew our names, though they'd never heard of my books. One woman even had precise premonitions of what Secret Canyon looked like. Neither of the women had ever been in Secret Canyon before that day. (Incidentally, I believe that in the future, Secret Canyon will become one of the world's premier power spots even after Sedona is overdeveloped, as it is rapidly becoming.)Secret Canyon, due to its remoteness in National Forest land, will retain its mysterious nature. I have scant explanation of what might exist there, but whatever "it" is, it is quite extraordinary. It is a long day's walk into Secret Canyon (minimum six miles round trip), but well worth it. Once you get to the mouth of the canyon you have to go at least one or two miles more to experience the effect -- and it is not always positive. One usually can't get into Secret Canyon in late December through March due to deep snow in its shadowy depths.That day of the hike I was wondering what the real intent, purpose, or benefit of the get-together was. I found out, at least from my personal perspective, in the evening when we all went into Sedona for dinner. One of the women, a Polynesian originally from Tahiti, began to describe some of her lifelong UFO experiences. What she talked about was rather intense, and the information forced my mind to shift into high speed as I put together bits and pieces from hundreds of similar incidents I had studied.She said that from early childhood she had had close encounters with UFOs and ETs, to the point where she often had painful difficulties with relatives and friends. They thought she was making stories up -- or was crazy. (I think she is consciously or unconsciously serving some meaningful plan by her involvement in all this.) She has had direct contact with a variety of human and humanoid extraterrestrials since the age of three or four. As a young child she was often taken to a room that seemed to be nearby by "government" agents who asked what the aliens had told her and what she had seen during these alien encounters. These interrogations occurred so many times that it almost destroyed her relationship with her mother, who would at times lock her out of the house because of her complete frustration over the whole matter.Individuals like the Florida woman who have had these kinds of experiences now have lots of other people to share with and relate to. I have met many geographically isolated people who were completely despondent because they had absolutely no one to talk to about their ET/UFO experiences. I knew this Florida woman was not fabricating her story because I have heard it so many times before in slightly different variations. There are certain questions I ask abductees/contactees to determine whether they are suffering from some sort of delusion or are merely repeating something they read in a book. In nineteen years of interviewing people who had had paranormal encounters, I have run across only two I was certain were lying.That evening in our conversation I got to the question I almost hated to ask her, one I had been putting off. I asked, "Have you had any pregnancies or fetuses disappear in the third or fourth month? She looked at me with a wide-eyed, astonished expression and I knew her answer. She exclaimed that yes, she had had three pregnancies disappear at between twelve and sixteen weeks over a long span of time. These were medically confirmed pregnancies, even though in one instance she hadn't had sex for several years. (Except for a short marriage, she had been single all of her life.)I have heard all of this before many times. The Florida woman also has memories from an altered state of holding alien/human looking babies. They were hers. (In the last pages of my book, The Alien Tide, there is a painting by a Pennsylvania resident, David Huggins, of these human/alien hybrids.) The upshot of all this -- and it is the only conclusion that can be made in the light of overwhelming evidence -- is that our human race is being crossbred with a humanoid but nonhuman race of beings. Why?Is this half-human, half-alien new race going to replace us here on Earth after some cataclysmic event befalls the Earth? I happen to think so, and I think we will find out soon. There is a remote possibility that their race is dying out and that this new race will replace them -- but I doubt that hypothesis. If you have any innovative thought on this, I would like to see them. This is an enigma that is not going to go away -- and it involves all of us.

I was just reporting to work when i looked over the mountains to see the sun rise. From the north i noticed a very long skinny object emitting a lot of heat moving very slowly to the south. I watched this object for about 5 minutes as it crossed the horizon. No trail was left by the object and i could not hear anything (It was a very quiet morning). I gathered a few of my coworkers as i felt that this was something that was needed to be seen to be believed. We all witnessed the object make a turn to the east and disappear after about 30 seconds. As soon as the object disappeared another object became visible from the north meeting almost the exact same description. It followed the same path and took about the same amount of time to finish the path and disappear. This occurred with a total of 5 objects. About 10 minutes after the 5th object disappeared a jet flew over the vicinity.

Mysterious Teardrop Glowing Object Over Rhode Island

JUNE 14, 2013 -11.PM.. N. SMITHFIELD RHODE ISLAND I was watching the 11:00 news in North Smithfield Rhode Island on June 14, 2013. Family members were asleep upstairs. I felt a strange feeling of unease and nervousness for no reason. I was sitting near sliding glass doors with the curtain closed. For some reason, I stood up and wanted to look outside. As I peeked through the curtains,I looked across a 3 acre meadow toward the distant tree line. Directly over one of the large distant trees was a bright, white, translucent, teardrop shaped, glowing object. It was the size of two full moons.It seemed to be illuminating a large area around it-brighter on the right than the left.I looked at the cable box clock and it was 11:11 on the dot. As I continued to look at the object,it blinked and lit up a fairly large area. It made the area near it light up as in a thunderstorm. It was hard to tell how far away it was. It could have been 1000 feet or a mile or more. It was hard to say. As I studied it closer,I saw FOUR OR FIVE BRIGHTER WHITE SPOTS ON IT FACING TOWARD ME. I WONDERED IF THEY WERE BEAMS. There were no lights or beams shining down on the meadow which remained dark.There were broken clouds that night. I wondered where the beams could be pointing. I looked up to the clouds directly over the house and saw that the outer edges facing the object were outlined in WHITE LIGHT LIKE A BEAM OF LIGHT was being projected on them from the object. It was stationary over the tree line for at least 5 minutes. At this point, I was absolutely terrified. I let the curtain close. I was too petrified to ask my family to come and see it and I also was trying to protect them from potential harm. The object stayed there for at least 5 minutes in place. I looked again after that and it was totally gone and the sky was once again pitch black. When it was gone I was very, very shaken up. I could not sleep all night. I called my friend in Weymouth Massachusetts to talk and she told me people in nearby Quincy were demanding answers from their local government about sightings there within the few days prior. Mysterious Lights Seen Over Liberty County

Many have observed several UFOS which they described as red fire balls hovering over Daisetta, Texas around 8:27 in the evening on March 23. A Texan resident called the police to report these machines flying above the city and two sheriff deputies of Liberty County went on the area of the incident just a couple of minutes after the report. Liberty County Sheriff office spokesperson Ken Defoor said in an emailed statement that the number or citizens on the scene that saw the same sightings reached at least 10 to 12. He added that the flying objects became invisible possibly after they went behind the clouds. The UFOs were flying in a southwest direction at an altitude of approximately 3,000 feet. Defoor said that UFO National Reporting Center in Spokane, Washington should be reached if no legal agency gathered information on these reported sightings. The sheriff's office urged people seeing the same objects to immediately report to their department. It reached several agencies such as the National Weather Bureau, the Houston Office of the Federal Aviation Agency and others to have their views on the UFOs. However, none of the agencies provides explanations about the reported lights. Whether or such lights were UFOs, the report remains a mystery as of the moment.

Back again after an intense week of working on my Hynek book... writing about the first time the good Doctor actually went out in the field to investigate a UFO incident, and it's a pretty cool story.

But in the midst of my busy week I got a call from Vxxxx, my MUFON State Director, who said, "Mark, I have a proposition for you." She explained that a news crew from CNN was going to come out to her and her husband's isolated desert bunker house in the middle of nowheresville, Arizona, to get some video of her husband training fresh-faced new MUFON Field Investigators. The catch was that Jxx, the new MUFON President, who set up the shoot, wanted the fresh-faced recruits to be "young." Meaning just out of diapers.

Naturally, Vxxxx thought of me first.

What could I say? I was flattered, of course, but I burst out laughing and said, "But Vxxxx... I'm not young (I'm not sure which was more difficult: admitting I'm not young or pronouncing "Vxxxx"). She hesitated for a moment, then said, "Well, how old are you? Fifty-three," came the reply.

Vxxxx gasped. "What? You're fifty-three? I thought you were thirty!"

Then came my turn to gasp. "Thirty! I thought you were going to guess that I was twenty!"

Okay, that last part didn't really happen. I was happy with thirty and I told her so. But she wasn't in the mood. She was sorely disappointed that I couldn't be part of the TV shoot. "Here I was all set to pay your way to fly out here to Arizona to be in the segment! Now I have to keep looking..."

Sharp readers will notice a couple problems with this scenario. One: Why does the Wisconsin State Director live in a bunker in the Arizona desert? I'm still trying to figure that one out. Two: Why does a 53 year-old seem like a youngster in the ranks of MUFON? I don't know, but you can be damn sure I'm going to use it to my advantage from here on out. Three: Young people watch CNN?

It's going to take me a while to figure that one out, but while I'm thinking about it, there's this to chew on:

MUFON is founded on lies, and Jxx and Vxxxx expected me to be a part of their web of deceit, depicting MUFONers as being all cool, hip, handsome, funny, well-dressed, articulate, charming, brilliant and sexy when in fact, aside from me, there is no one in MUFON like that at all.

Welcome to the top 10 UFO sightings, these sightings come from different stages in our history, and were reported by people from all walks of life. UFOs have been zipping about in our skies for a very long time, doing whatever the hell it is they do?! surveying the Earth, surveying us, both neither? not many people can say for certain what these strange disc and cigar like craft are really doing, all we can do is look up, wonder and imagine.Sighting number 10 was made over 2000 years ago in 332 b.c. by multiple witnesses, the witnesses in this case were Macedonian soldiers laying siege to the city fortress of Tyre and they were commanded by Alexander The Great. Alexander's forces were having great trouble breaching the city because it was built on an island and had high walls all around it that were right up against the sea, making matters worse they could only attack it from a narrow stone causeway which they themselves had to build. Frustratingly they were being easily repelled by the thick high walls of Tyre and the defenders on top, until... to the attacking and defending soldier's amazement 2 silver shields appeared in the sky and one of these "shields" dove repeatedly at the section of the wall Alexander's troops aimed to breach. This unexpected flying object fired "beams of light" at this section of the wall causing it to collapse, allowing Alexander's troops to pour in and take the city! Of course there is argument among historians about whether this happened or not but it's interesting enough to earn a place on this list.Sighting number 9 happened 200 years before Alexander's siege of Tyre. In 593 b.c. Ezekiel witnessed his now famous flying "wheel" near the Cheber river in Iraq. In his own writings Ezekiel recorded and described a "flying chariot". His strange sighting begins when he observes a windstorm coming towards him from the north, this storm took the shape of a huge cloud emitting lightning and brilliant light. As it got nearer Ezekiel saw that in the centre of this huge cloud was something that looked like glowing metal, and drawing nearer still he saw 4 beings shaped like men. he described them as each having four faces (human - lion - ox - eagle) and four wings, it is unclear whether these "four beings" were alive or metallic adornments attached to this flying craft. Beneath each creature was a wheel intersecting a wheel which Ezekiel described as "sparkling like chrysolite". Chrysolite is a green emerald like crystal. Above the 4 beings Ezekiel saw what he described as "an expanse, sparkling like ice, and awesome". Because Ezekiel was known to record things in great detail elsewhere there is no reason to believe he didn't do so here, which makes this a very unconventional flying machine indeed, a truly unidentified flying object.Sighting number 8 occurred in 1676 when the famous astronomer Edmond Halley was observing the sky. He witnessed in his own words "A vast body seemingly bigger than the moon", of course this flying object could have been a great deal closer to Halley than the moon which would make it seem larger. He also reported that it emitted a noise which sounded like a huge cart rolling over stones, being an adept mathematician he worked out its speed as being over 9000 miles per hour!Sighting number 7 happened in Egypt over 3000 years ago, and was written down by "the scribes of the house of life". They wrote that in mid-winter, on the sixth hour of the day they (the scribes) witnessed a circle of fire descending from the sky. This circle gave of a foul smell and made no noise, equally confused and afraid the scribes threw themselves down on the ground until the UFO was gone. They reported this odd occurrence to Thutmose the third who was the ruling Pharaoh at that time, after consulting with advisors for the next few days (and obviously drawing a blank) Thutmose got to see this strange flying object for himself, and more than one. It was recorded that after another few days more than one of these circles of fire appeared in the sky and that they shone brighter than the sun, we aren't given an exact number as it is just recorded as "numerous", more than 10? 20? It is difficult to say for sure but nonetheless it remains an interesting sighting.Sighting number 6 jumps us forward slightly in history to 1803, the location is a stretch of beach north of Tokyo Japan. This is a rather back to front UFO sighting report as the unknown object in question is not witnessed in the sky but emerging from the sea, also the UFO isn't the main point of this sighting, it is the crafts occupant, a woman. Apparently a strange, round craft washed ashore on the beach one day and when locals investigated (presumably fishermen) they found a young beautiful woman inside. This woman spoke a language the locals couldn't understand and the inside of the craft was covered in symbols which also puzzled them. Weirder still, as if the event itself wasn't weird enough, this woman was carrying a rectangular box that she didn't want anyone to touch! This case is known in Japan as the "legend of the hollow ship".Sighting number 5 brings us even closer to modern times and was reported in 1950 by a terrified United States Air Force officer working at the White Sands test range in the New Mexico desert. This officer and sergeant Jonathan Louette were tasked with taking a jeep out onto the vast missile range and clearing up any debris and burnt out missile shells. Now comes the part most of you won't believe, after driving down the range a few miles they stopped the jeep and both got out, splitting up to search more ground among the endless sand dunes, the officer heard sudden screaming coming from the area he knew the sergeant was in. He sprinted towards the screaming and when he reached the top of a dune he witnessed a Disc shaped craft, low to the ground, reaching down from the bottom of this Disc was a long tentacle type appendage which was wrapped around the sergeant! Sound unbelievable? That's what the officers bosses thought when he got back to base and reported it, he was charged with murder and held until a few days later when sergeant Jonathan Louette's body turned up 20 miles down the range, mutilated with strange precise cutting the officer couldn't possibly have carried out, he was cleared of the murder charge.Case number 4 comes to us from many miles above the earth, the witnesses were Alan Bean, Jack Lousma and Owen Garriott, all astronauts carrying out various experiments inside the NASA Skylab 3 craft. The three astronauts witnessed a red pulsing object outside their space craft, they watched it for 10 minutes and even took some pictures of it. Being a clever astronaut type, Owen Garriott was able to estimate the size of the object, he worked this out by timing the difference between his own craft (Skylab 3) passing into the earths shadow and the following UFO passing into the shadow after them. This told him the UFO was 25 miles away and 800 feet in diameter! Which was far larger than anything NASA had up there, the Skylab 3 itself was only 150 feet long.Sighting case number 3 comes from the freezing wastelands of the Yukon in 1996, the first sighting of this unknown craft happened at 8.30 pm beside Fox Lake. 6 witnesses reported seeing a massive UFO moving slowly and quietly across the frozen lake, they described it as being smooth, round and very large. About 30 minutes later and North of Fox Lake multiple witnesses from the village of Pelly Crossing saw the same UFO, shortly after this and to the south in the neighbouring village of Carmacks, four guys in a truck and five family members, looking out their front window also witnessed this massive UFO. This case has been investigated many times from different angles by different people but remains firmly unexplained.Sighting number 2 happened in 1967 above Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana. Captain Robert Salas was on duty that night and received a call from the Guard post commander who reported that some of his guards had been seeing strange lights flying above the base in unorthodox patterns. Robert didn't think to much of it the first time but the guard commander called back some minutes later in a very excited state, shouting into the phone! He told Robert Salas (in no uncertain terms) that there was a large red glowing sphere floating outside the base's front gate. Robert quickly ordered him to mobilise his guards to secure the perimeter while he phoned to inform the next person up the ladder what was going on, it was then that something even stranger happened, the warning lights in the missile control room started going of and the nuclear missiles at the base shut one after another to a state where they couldn't be launched. Naturally the military carried out investigations into why the missiles shut down but were unable to find out why.And last but not least sighting case number 1 happened in December of 1980 in Rendlesham forest, specifically near two RAF bases, RAF Bentwaters and RAF Woodbridge. Both these bases were at that time on loan to the United States Airforce. At 3 am a U.S. Air Force guard patrol witnessed strange lights zipping about above the trees close to the Bentwaters base, 3 soldiers were sent to this wooded area to investigate and as they cautiously approached through the trees they saw a burning orange light near the forest floor. The leader of the 3, sergeant Jim Penniston, later reported that he got close enough to see an object inside the orange light, suddenly there was a brilliant flash of light and the object disappeared. King Island Uap Reports Around The Time Of Valentich Disappearance

Readers of this blog will be aware that I am a keen supporter of the concept of locating original documentation on events. Readers will also be aware that I have been following the trail of material on the Frederick Valentich disappearance of 1978. So far we have:

1. Access to the two official Australian government files on this incident. (To read my earlier posts on the contents of these files click here and here.)

2. Reports on UAP from Victoria, Tasmania and Bass Strait between the 18th and 23rd October 1978 (Valentich disappeared on 21st October 1978.) To read these reports, and my analysis of them, click here.

One of the additional mysteries of the Valentich incident, is the number of UAP reports which came from King Island in 1978. King Island (click here for map) was the destination which Valentich recorded on his flight plan. I am therefore very thankful to Keith Roberts of the Tasmanian UFO Investigation Centre (click here to go to their website - well worth a look) for taking the time to go through their files, and compile a listing of UAP reports for 1978, from King Island. We share these reports below, for your perusal.

1. January. Egg Lagoon. 0200hrs.

Witness up early to attend to children. Noticed low to the north, a fire coloured sphere. The sphere was estimated at 2m diameter and some 3m above the ground. It was situated 300-400m distant over open paddocks. The sphere remained in the same location as the witness viewed it for about 15 minutes before the witness returned to bed. No fires or burn offs were known to have occurred in the area at the time. [TUFOIC sighting form and interview. Unidentified.]

2. July. Currie. Night.

A slow moving object with light, followed a vehicle down North Road to Currie. It then disappeared towards the nearby lighthouse. Other sightings reported in Currie that night. Up north, witnesses saw a strange light pass over their house. On going out to investigate, the light had disappeared. [King Island News 20/9/78. Anonymous letter to editor.] No follow up with witnesses possible.

3. 24 August Saguenay Rock and Cape Wickham. 2100-2130hrs.

Fishermen report flare like lights, including a large green light off Cape Wickham. Whilst investigating, the Police witness what looked like six hand flares 3km off shore. The flares came on after the blue flashing Police light was turned on. An area search by sea and air the next day, failed to locate any vessel in trouble. No ships were unaccounted for. A pilot landing at 2100hrs reported a meteorite disintegrating into sparks. [Burnie Advocate 25/8/78.]

4. Early September. New Year Island. Night.

Lights and flares reported from area. [Verbal, probably from King Island News.]

5. 12 September. Cam Creek. Night.

Large oval light noted. Lights up the area like daylight. [King Island News 20/9/78. Anonymous letter to editor.] No follow up possible.

6. 20 September. Reekara. 2130hrs.

Bright white, oval shape, seem by three witnesses following a shooting trip. They followed the light as they headed south towards Currie. They described the light as 10 times the size of a star. It looked to go out of sight behind a hill to the south-west. It was briefly seen again as a weak light in the distance towards the ocean. The event lasted about 15 minutes. A Nursing Sister reported to Paul Norman [VUFORS] she had also seen a bright light (the same light?) crossing the sky. VUFORS followed up but were unable to obtain any more information. 7. Early October. Currie? Night.

King Island News receives report of more lights seen. Passed on witness contact some months later to TUFOIC. TUFOIC unable to locate witness, who, it appears, had moved from King Island.

8. 21 October. Currie. 1400hrs.

Report of witness sunbathing when something sighted high overhead. TUFOIC obtained sighting form with information on the event. Description given as twice the size of a small aircraft (not a golf ball) Paul Norman (VUFORS) interviewed the witness and gave an estimate of the elevation around 1500m. The initial cloud from which the object emerged was almost overhead. The round white shape moved at first to the west, then headed back towards the east in the west-south-west sky, at an elevation of 70 degrees. The movement was slow, described as slower than a light aircraft. The witness watched for about 10 minutes before having to leave and did not observe the "shape" again.
