We observed 12 lights that were Orange oval orbs with one red oscillating light that seemed to move around the perimeter inside the Orange oval orb. My neighbor called me to come to her apartment to see what she was seeing and to confirm that she was not nuts and just seeing things. She saw 5 before I arrived and she stated the first one seemed to be triangular with 3 lights. Once I arrived to watch out the window of her apartment, I saw the first one disappear into the clouds. After that one I started seeing others at a regular time of about 1-2 minutes apart. The last 6 seemed to rise from the ground and ascend up and towards our apartments and continued into the clouds just as they were coming near our apartments. We did everything we could think of to identify what we thought they could be and we dismissed the possibility of fireworks, luminaries, drones, helicopters, planes, and we could not dismiss them as anything we knew of. We later heard of a family that was nearer than we were that saw these same objects. We also had a gentleman in our building say that he was listening to a radio talk show that discussed the sightings that appeared in phoenix and anthem in Arizona on the same new years eve night.
